Magnitone XOXO Silicone Cleansing Brush (Honest) Review – Gifted

The team at Magnitone let me take a pick of one of their products on a gifting basis to try out and review – how lovely! My eyes darted to the Magnitone XOXO Silicone Cleansing Brush as I had seen products like this being used here, there and everywhere and was intrigued to see what the hype is all about.

This cleansing brush retails for £40, but Magnitone do sometimes offer reduced prices which is worth keeping in mind. After some browsing, is not the cheapest silicone cleanser available, but there’s such a variety out there that it just comes down to what you want. For months I had been dedicated to my Vanity Planet kit (read my review, here) but was intrigued to try something different and that was more travel-friendly. So now for a bit more about the actual product itself…

It’s marketed as a “high-grade puro silicone” brush that is USB rechargeable, 1 charge = 2 months use. It has 8000 micro-sonic pulsations, is 100% waterproof and has 3 cleansing zones. The 3 different zones are designed for different skin types; oily/normal, dry/sensitive and acts like a facial massage. There are various vibration settings that can be adjusted with the + and sign. I must admit the strongest setting is pretty strong, so perfect for a deep cleanse.

The pulsations help to stimulate the skin’s surface to rejuvenate the skin cells for soft and glowy skin. I can definitely agree that after using this product, my skin does feel super soft. The little bumpy patches I can get on my chin have disappeared and combined with my skincare products and regime – my skin is clear and bright. I have quite an oily T-zone which obviously can’t be completed stopped, but it can be prevented. This product can control excess oil levels and I have noticed quite a difference over the week. I have also switched to a mattifying setting spray which has been the perfect pair to this brush. The settings do make you feel like you’re getting a deep-clean and getting rid of any dirt and impurities.

The aspect I really like is how travel-friendly it is. The Vanity Planet kit is great as it does come in a travel case, but it’s still quite bulky, whereas with this kit you can pop it in your makeup bag and not have to worry about dunking it underwater to get it clean again! With it being waterproof you can take it in the bath and shower and not be worried about breaking it.

Overall, I think this product is worth the money if you’re looking for a long-lasting, portable little number that is going to look after your skin. If you’ve tried this product, I’d love to hear down below what your thoughts are.

Until next time,

Emily x

Your skin was looking GREAT yesterday so it must work! I wish I could try something like this but unfortunately £40 is a lil’ outside my ‘how much I can afford’ zone but it definitely looks impressive! Will you continue using it as much or do you think it could overwhelm your skin with too much use?? Great post Emily!!

Ahh omg Millie that’s so nice thank you !! Yeah I completely get you, it is quite a lot! I use a cleansing brush every night so will probably alternate 😊 thank you for commenting!

I’ve always been intrigued by cleansing brushes but was sceptical as to whether they worked and whether the price was worth it! But this does seem like a good investment if you want to improve your skin. I’ve always had trouble with mine and it sometimes feels like nothing works, but maybe something like this would be right for me! That’s great that it’s travel friendly and has such a long charge too!x

I would recommend it, but I’m sure other alternatives will work just as well! It was nice to try something a bit different, brushes always do a deeper clean than just your hands! Thank you for reading and commenting x

Ooh this product sounds so good! I love that deep cleanse feeling haha. For a while now I’ve been using a face brush to apply moisturiser, night cream and toner, but the cleansing technology of the Magnitone brush sounds so good! Love that it’s travel friendly too. Great post x

Thank you so much Shannen! It’s so interesting you apply products with a brush, I’ve not tried that method before!x
