£25 Skincare Routine that Includes Vegan Products

One of my goals for 2019 and onwards, was to incorporate cruelty-free makeup and skincare products into my daily routines. I’m quite pleased I’ve found some goodies that are cruelty-free and even vegan too (disclaimer: I’m not a vegan, just trying to do my bit).

The total for all of these products is around £26 at their current prices. So if you are looking for a kind skincare routine that works with a great budget, these products may be great for you. This price excludes the facemask because I was kindly gifted that from Kauai Cosmetics. I’ll leave links to the products in case you’re interested. Many are from Superdrug, which seem to be killing the skincare game. So let’s get into it!

The first step in my routine is to wipe off my makeup with any makeup wipes, I really like Primark or Simple ones, they’re affordable and do a good job at getting the bulk off before using a cleanser to get the rest out.

Garnier Micellar Water

Garnier Micellar Water

My beloved Garnier Essential 2-in-1 oil cleanser that I’d been using for years is no longer available anywhere I go, so with a heavy heart I set out to find a new cleanser. I hadn’t got on with micellar water when I first tried it, but I am impressed with this one. It’s not too oily and has mattifying properties.

Garnier Detox Gel Wash

Garnier Organic Fresh Lemongrass Detox Gel Wash (Vegan)

The lemongrass really makes this product, it has such a refreshing smell and feeling that leaves your skin feeling lovely and fresh after a long day. This bottle has kept me going for quite a long time too, but I’ll definitely be repurchasing when I run out. The top locks if you twist it which makes it ideal for travelling. I use this with my new Magnitone Cleansing Brush (review here).

Olay cleansing milk

Olay Cleansing Milk

I personally always look for milky cleansers and was a big fan of the Garnier ones before trying this. But this product feels so pure and fresh and is good at removing any excess makeup. It contains aloe vera and cucumber extract, which are both very good at looking after your skin. I like my products to feel gentle.

Naturally Radiant Glycolic Tonic

Naturally Radiant Glycolic Tonic with 5% Glycolic Acid (Vegan and Cruelty Free)

I do find this quite a strong toner, so if you have sensitive skin this might be a bit too harsh, but I do love a good tone. In essence, glycolic acid is derived from sugar cane and is great at dissolving the bonds between pesky dead cells that are on your skin. So it gets into the nooks and crannies of your face to reveal a fresher looking complexion.

Naturally Radiant Day and Night Creams

Naturally Radiant Day and Night Creams (Vegan and Cruelty Free)

I was an avid fan of the Nivea day and night creams until I found this duo. I LOVE these creams! They sit so comfortably on the skin and sink in really nicely, especially the day cream as it sinks it quick before I apply my makeup. The consistency is much lighter than the Nivea creams and the day cream contains SPF 15 too. They both have kiwi fruit and mulberry extracts which adds to the fresh feeling after using all of the other products.

Naturally Radiant Micro Polish

Naturally Radiant Micro Polish (Vegan and Cruelty Free)

This isn’t an everyday product of mine, but I try to use it once a week – mainly on a Sunday on my no-makeup day. It has similar ingredients to the creams and I love the little beads that are part of the gel. They’re not too harsh on the skin, but this product isn’t ideally marketed for those with sensitive skin it says on the Superdrug website. *Currently discontinued*

Kauai Cosmetics Matcha Green Tea Face Mask

Kauai Cosmetics Matcha Green Tea Face Mask (Cruelty Free)

Kauai approached me earlier this year to see if I wanted to try their mask, and so as a lover of finding new skincare gems, I said yes. This product is a winner for me because a little goes a long way, which means more applications. It smoothes over the skin nicely and doesn’t go too dry and tight as it dries. Plus who doesn’t want to channel their inner Shrek sometimes.

So there we have my current skincare routine, and I’m working harder to find products that are vegan or at least, cruelty-free. I’m sure some people will find me contradictory because I eat meat still, but I’m making little changes in my life so that I’m contributing less to the problem than I was before. Every little helps.

I didn’t realise I had most of the Naturally Radiant range until writing this post, but these products used in conjunction with each other work really well, and at a really affordable price too so I don’t have to worry when they run out. I’d love to hear down below what your skincare must-haves are!

Thank you so much for reading, until next time x

Ooo I like that they are cruelty-free and you even have some vegan ones in there! I haven’t shipped at superdrug in ages actually. I tend to go to Holland and Barrett for my skin care mostly and my go to thing is definitely this natural sponge thing that I use ever night!

I had never used micellar water until my friend left hers at my house and she told me I could keep it. It’s actually really good! Might have to look into the other products. Great post!

I love skincare and am very picky with the products that I use for my skincare routine. I have tried the Garnier products and love them! Micellar water is so much better for your skin and I love that it doesn’t leave any residue.

Great post and thank you for sharing your skincare routine!

Me too! I like trying new things, but I know what works best for my skin so try to stick to similar formulas! Thank you Sandy!

Love, love, love this concept – especially the fact that they’re all vegan! I used to think that you had to spend a big chunk of your wages on expensive skincare to get results. However, I’ve noticed that my skin has improved sooo much since cutting back on products!
I haven’t heard of some of these brands/products so will give them a try once I’ve run out of my current products! Thanks for sharing.

I’m glad there’s only a few left that aren’t vegan! Yes me too, I saw £50 face cream and panicked until I got the hang of shopping round for better deals! So impressed with these products for the price 😊 I hope you enjoy them if you try them, thanks so much for reading!
