May 2019 Review

Well hello to you. Welcome to the fifth instalment of my monthly reviews. WHERE IS MY LIFE GOING. I am genuinely going to sound like a broken record until the end of the year – blabbing about how quickly this year is going. I think when life is so hectic and go go go all the time, it’s hard to take a break and before you know it it’s the end of the month. I am mighty happy about that, because the end of the months brings with it payday. A very special day.

May has been a very beautiful and bright month. I spent most weekends back at home with my family which always make me feel refreshed and renewed. I had a lovely meal out with my mum at Middletons Steakhouse (drooling as we speak), a summery walk with my love and a big ole pasta bake. The small things really do make me smile. I had a trip to Rushden Lakes and gathered some final bits for mine and Lewis’s holiday to Spain soon – I haven’t had a beach holiday abroad since 2006 so this is well needed! It’s been a month of good food and laughs. I finally booked in to get my half sleeve finished, roll on August for some more ink. So how about those goals?

April 2019 Review: I progressed?!

HOW are we here again, at another monthly review?! This year is absolutely flying by, which means the time has rolled around again to sum up how the previous month treated me. If this sort of post is new to you – I write reviews each month about how the month has gone and cross-check it against my overall goals for 2019. I think April showed the most progression for me so far. Things are falling into place, I’m less stressed, I’m wearing more smiles on my face and so I’m excited to share with you what I’ve been up to! Let’s get into it.

I blinked and April was over. It was a nice month with a beautiful bank holiday towards the end which meant Lewis (my boyfriend) and I could spend some nice time away visiting my family. My favourite day was when we took a late afternoon trip to the beach just my mum, her friend, Lewis and I. We grapped chips and watched the sunset before spending some pennies on the amusements (I won a squishy spider from the 2p machines, what a score). My mum and her friend are Zumba instructors so we made ourselves useful and filmed them performing a couple of routines in the sand. It’s all fun and games until I turn around and Lewis is holding 4 pairs of shoes, surrounded by the incoming tide.

March 2019 Review

Will I start each one of these being surprised at how fast the month has gone? Most probably, because I blinked and we’re nearly a quarter way into the year. WHAT! March has been quite an exciting month I believe, I’ve settled more into my job and it’s surprising how time flies when you spend 40 hours a week in an office.

Despite battling some homesickness, March has really been quite kind to me – 2019 overall has been a treat so far. Putting my month into words really helps to focus some attention on what is going well in my life. I think it’s so easy to be blind to all the good if we focus too much on the bad, but why should I be doing that when there’s more ups than downs?

February in Review

It’s actually quite scary that 2 months of 2019 are gone already! Like I did for January, I wanted to take this opportunity to have a look at what I achieved over the month and what I perhaps could have done a bit better. March is right around the corner, so I’m hoping to keep up with some, if not all of my 2019 goals – which you can read here!

It’s actually quite enjoyable to sit down at the end of the month and have some accountability time. A chance to reflect, review and renew. It’s beneficial to track your own progression and achievements – so let’s get started!
