5 things that empower me as a woman

Empowerment, by definition, is “the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one’s life and claiming one’s rights.”

I can pair this definition so well to the change I’ve seen in myself over the last couple of years since leaving school. I can physically feel how much more confident I am, as well as mentally feeling the strongest I ever have. So, I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight just 5 things that continually empower me as a woman and allow me to lead my best life as this 5’9 ginger lady.

Chatty Tuesday: Experience with the pill (Loestrin 20)

As you may have noticed from the title of this post, I’m hoping to start a mini series off whereby every Tuesday I have a chat about more personal topics/life advice. To kick start this off, I wanted to holla at my fellow ladies who need to shut down the baby factory or calm those periods down.

I’m by no means a doctor, so all information gathered can be found online or comes from personal experience.

Job Guide: 10 Employment Tips

Today’s post takes another step in the direction I’m hoping to take my blog in; a miniature Doctor Phil if you will. I’d like to use my small platform to utilise what I’ve experienced/learnt so far as a near 20 year old that didn’t go to university. I’ve always loved helping my friends out and giving advice, so to start this journey off – let’s start with the wonderful world of employment!

This post is focused around career beginners and those that didn’t attend university, but hopefully my tips are applicable to most!

Haunted experience: Cobb Hall, Lincoln Castle

Today’s post is another slightly different one, as I delve into my one and only “paranormal” experience. As a brief background, I’ve always believed in spirits and “ghosts” (whatever you prefer to call them). I’d just never had any experience myself, until the late summer of 2016…

January 2019 Review

I wasn’t planning on doing monthly review posts this year, but as I’m sat here on the last day of this busy month – I feel like I can confidently say I’ve achieved a heck of a lot and would love to share that with you all (she says to the small, but lovely crowd she has).

January 2019 was all about diving head first into full blown adulthood, however the diving board was rather high and meant I slapped like a piece of meat on the water. But I’ve surfaced well! Alive and telling the tale. So let’s see what I got up to….

Am I like my zodiac sign?

Star signs. Horoscopes. Astrology. What does that all mean for me? I’ve always been guilty since I was old enough to read my mum’s magazines, of skipping to the page where I would be told my fortunes for today/this month/this year. Now I’m older and have a decent amount of experience under my belt – I wanted to delve into my star sign and see if my personality lines up with it at all.

So if you’re a Cancer like myself, or just have an interest in the weird and wonderful world of star signs, then I hope you enjoy!

10 quotes that keep me going

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find silent words to be the most comforting at times where I’m battling my own brain and finding it difficult to give myself some credit. I wanted to compile a list of the quotes that most frequently remind me that I’m a strong ass woman who can do anything they put their mind to, whether that be today or starting afresh tomorrow.

I hope you also find some solace amongst these words like myself, or if there are any quotes you love that act as a holding hand at times, please leave them in the comments!

3 things I’ll never regret doing

I’m hoping to start pushing my blog into the more casual, chatty and raw corner where I get more personal and address topics that aren’t all that widely spoken about. I wish this post was my idea, but I stumbled across it in a state of writer’s block on https://www.kotrynabass.com/30-blog-post-ideas-for-your-first-blog-post-ever/.

So many thanks for getting my feet off the ground! If you’d like to read about the 3 things I’ll never regret doing, then please read on…

£25 skincare routine?! (+ Vanity Planet Review)

Good morning, good evening or goodnight wherever you are! Firstly, I hope you’re doing well – I’m currently sat itching to take my makeup off, but ironically wanted to write this skincare post first.

Sometimes stripping things back into their simplest and most affordable form is what we like to see. I’m yet to venture too far out into the world of more high-end items that are classed as an investment. If you’ve got a bank of any pricier products you swear by – please leave them/any links down below! My aim for 2019 (as per my previous post, cheeky plug) is to incorporate more cruelty free items into my routine, and upon writing this, I realised I have quite a long way to go.

However, not everything I use is tested on animals – including the Vanity Planet skin spa, which if you’d like to see a brief review of, please keep reading.

Out with 2018, in with 2019

49079391_780316432360836_5350047959545282560_nHAPPY NEW YEAR! I’m definitely still mentally in 2009, but here we 49461692_336332017202349_6490807559878868992_nare sat 10 years down the line (bloody hell). I hope you all had a wonderful festive break and a smooth transition into this brand new year. I left 2018 with my favourite person by my side and entered 2019 the same way so we’re off to a good start already

I’m sure your Instagram is full to the brim of people’s timelines from their 2018 shenanigans, so I wanna keep my recap short and sweet – mostly because 2018 was the quickest year I have ever experienced.
